The Carara National Park is a transitional forest, with a tropical dry forest to the north and a more humid Pacific rainforest in the south. The Carara National Park displays stunning foliage and flora from both ecosystems and is home to one of the few remaining breeding grounds for the scarlet macaw.

The Manuel Antonio Park is world renowned for its two beautiful white sand beaches, Espadilla Sur and Manuel Antonio. This tropical dry forest is located on a peninsula and surrounded by the clear waters of the Pacific. The Manuel Antonio Park has extensive hiking trails upon which you can experience the unique sights and sounds of seabirds, three-toed sloth’s, capuchin monkeys, and distinctive plant life.
