Hong Kong Hotel Price Print E-mail
Thursday, 09 August 2007
Hong Kong hotel price varies greatly depending on many factors.  Hong Kong hotel price will change depending on location, quality of the hotel, number of people staying with you, time of year, and whether or not you are using a special promotion or deal.  Many people assume that the more you pay, the better the hotel but that isn't necessarily true.  Hong Kong is a very busy city and a great tourist destination so almost every hotel, regardless of price, prides itself on it's cleanliness, amenities, and customer service.  No matter what the price, you will always get a great hotel.

Some typical Hong Kong hotel prices are $50.00 per night for the Tatami Hampton Hotel which is located in Kowloon.  This is a very cheap and basic hotel that doesn't have a lot of luxury items but for just $50.00 a night, it's a great deal.  You will be left with much more spending money in your pocket.  On the other side of the spectrum is The Gold Coast Hotel.  This 5 star hotel is a mere $125.00 for a night and is located in the New Territories.  This is an excellent deal for a beautiful, state of the art hotel.  These prices are for standard rooms so if you decide on suites, you can spend anywhere from $300.00-$1000.00 a night depending on the hotel.

Overall, Hong Kong hotel prices are very reasonable and it is cheaper to have a nice room in Hong Kong than to have a crummy dilapidated room in a Las Vegas motel.  The reason for this is that the amount of tourists and people staying in Hong Kong hotels are very great so they can afford to have very reasonable rates all year long.  The rates will increase during special holidays such as the Chinese New Year however.

Hong Kong hotel prices do vary by location and what attractions they are close to.  If you wanted to get a room right beside Disneyland, it would be more expensive than a room 10 blocks away.  Many people will pay extra to be that much closer to an attraction so you should decide what suits your plans and budget the best.
