Regardless of what your rights are as an individual or how prideful you are about the skills you have while on your computer or surfing the internet the fact is that you are at risk for spyware and adware every time you log on. There is no one way to avoid the harmful, and more importantly, freakishly annoying spyware programs that cause you to have more pop-ups than a “Puff the Magic Dragon” story book. Instead, you should constantly be aware of what is on your computer and how to keep your computer in the best possible condition. If you don’t know how to do that than you need to have no fear, the following is a few things to keep checking on your computer to prevent spyware.
* If you know exactly what you have and have not installed on your computer since you purchased it you should constantly be aware of what has been added to avoid spyware. This can be done easily be checking your program list in the Add/Remove programs area on the control panel of your personal computer. This is important because some spyware programs will actually be functioning in this way for several weeks right under your nose and they will be considerably harmful to your computer overall. * If you are constantly being annoyed and frustrated by a slow moving computer or freezing up at every possible turn then there is a good chance that you have a spyware program on your computer. Many of these programs can be more than just harmful to your computer, they can be extremely demanding on the immediate memory of your computer which will, in turn, make your computer slow moving. By staying on top of what you have in your computer you can head this off at the pass. These are just a few of the ways that you can prevent spyware from being installed on your computer or fight the overall punishment that the program can levy. Don’t just get frustrated and quit on your computer, stay on top of what you are doing and where you are going to keep your computer healthy! |
