Just about anyone that wants to try scuba diving can. There is no age limit or rule to who is allowed to test their interests in this game. Anyone that is fifteen or older can become a great scuba diver. Children between the ages of ten and fifteen can receive a junior open water dive certification. When you are the age of fifteen, you can then upgrade to a regular open water diver certification.
There are many programs that are available for younger children that want to learn to dive. This will prepare them for their certification later on. This is a good way to get them involved in the sport and to show them what kind of atmosphere lives under that water. This is an opportunity that they will never forget and will love the experience. The only rule in scuba diving is that the person has to be in good fitness. Anyone that is in good health who meets the age requirements can be in scuba diving. This is only a safety measure to make sure that no problems occur in the water. Before deciding to go in the water, you should have a physical exam to make sure that you are in good health and well enough to scuba dive. You must also complete a medical questionnaire so that you can participate in the certification process. You need to be sure that there are no unexpected problems that happen once you are in the water. If you have any type of lung, heart, or breathing problem, you may not be able to take the certification. You have to be sure that you are able to handle the water and to take on the pressures of what you are doing under the water. It is also a good idea to make sure that you are able to take on any type of stress that can happen. You have to be able to think clearly and quickly so that you can address any problems that may occur under the water. Anyone that is willing and able to go under the water is welcome to do so. It is just best to make sure that they are in good health and ready to take on the challenges of that can come up at any time in the water. Being prepared is the only way to make a great scuba diving adventure happen. |
