Projection Televisions for Sport Print E-mail
Saturday, 28 April 2007
There’s really nothing more satisfying than to sit down with a few friends to watch sports on a really big TV set: the bigger the screen the better the action.  You can see every play in life-size detail and scream at the referee when he makes an error.  It’s a matter of some contention, but many people think that projection televisions, for sport, can’t be beat.

Sure, you can watch sports on your plasma and LCD TVs, but one of the best aspects of projection TVs (or, at least, front-projection TVs) is that you can change the screen size to suit yourself.  If you’re watching sports with a large group of friends you might want to move the projector a little further from the screen to increase the display size.  That way, the guys at the back can get a good look at the action.  Later on, when you sit back to watch the news, you can go ahead and make the screen a little smaller.

Rear projection televisions are just as good for watching sports.  Since they don’t take up nearly as much space as traditional CRT televisions; that means you can squeeze more friends into your house to watch the big game.  If you want, why not invite a few guys who support the opposition so you can taunt them after your team has taken them to the cleaners?  Just make sure you move the TV out of the way when the inevitable fight breaks out, OK?  You wouldn’t want a big crack down the middle of your rear-projection screen, would you?
