Where Can I Find A Garage Storage Design Service Print E-mail
Sunday, 22 July 2007
So you’re tired of a cluttered garage and you want to organize so you can find the things you need, when you need them. There are a couple of ways to go about this. One is to contact a company that sells garage storage units, the other is to contact a garage storage design service and have them put together a storage solution for your garage. Either way you win, as you will have what you need at your fingertips.

There are many garage storage design services on the internet and you should contact some of them to see if they offer what you need. They are usually quite flexible and will work with you to design the best system for your garage service. You may want to design a garage storage yourself. If you are not handy with the actual putting together of the units, you may want to hire a local contractor or someone you know who is good at this sort of thing. Maybe your Uncle Sven, or your son-in-law, Todd is good at this and could use a little extra cash.

Below are some of the units used in garage storage, to give you an idea of what you may want in your garage storage design.

1. Wall mounted shelves are a great way to store everything you need and will allow you to see what is on each shelf. Some of these shelving units can cover the entire side or back wall of a garage. You will say goodbye to everything scattered on the floor, it will all be organized on your shelves. You may want to label each shelf so that there will be no confusion about where everything goes when you want to store it again.

2. Free standing shelving units can be used as a part of your garage storage solution. If you use these units you will need to be sure that your garage floor is level, as they do not fasten to wall. The good thing about free standing shelving units is that you can move it from one area of the garage, to another if you think it would better suit your needs.

3. Hooks and brackets on the walls are a great idea to store your work clothes, gardening tools, golf clubs, or anything you want to get off the floor. There are great units available  for sports equipment, and you will always know where to find anything you need.

4. If you have dangerous pesticides and chemicals in your garage, you should really have storage cabinets with doors that lock. This is the safest way to store this sort of poison.

5. A pegboard above your workbench will put any tool at your fingertips, drawing around each tool will show you where they belong when they are no longer needed.

6. Overhead storage units that hang from the ceiling beams are available for your storage solution. You can easily see through the bottom of these wire units to find what you want without going through each unit.

Whether you choose to hire a garage storage design service, or design the storage system yourself, you will be amazed at the difference it makes when everything in your garage is organized.
