Toy Hammocks A Storage Solution Print E-mail
Tuesday, 21 August 2007
If you have kids, you have toys.  You have toys all over the place.  You’ve got toys lying on the floor, on the steps, in the hallway:  you’ve got plenty.  The more kids you have: the more toys you have.  It’s a seemingly endless task:  picking up toys.  Once you’ve got them picked up, where do you put them?  A toy chest is a good step.  You’ve probably seen the building block storage boxes:  you’ve probably bought them, too. The problem with the toy boxes and building blocks is that you eventually run out of floor space.  You could stick them on a closet shelf, but that would lead to less space for clothes.

Tossing them, especially the stuffed animals may cause trauma in your young one, so what do you do?  You search for alternatives. You consider décor and most importantly - space available.  Placing these lovable stuffed animals on your child’s bed is an alternative. Though, placing them on the bed still leaves a space problem for your child.  You could build shelves for the stuffed toys and animals, but you still have a problem:  space.  Eventually with any storage option you run out of space.  Space is a premium when it comes to storing such things.  Space, having enough, can also be a factor in maintaining your sanity.  Not having enough space is generally the rule when it comes to family situations.

A viable solution to this toy storage problem is simple:  a toy hammock.  Hammocks have been known for centuries as  a comfortable resting spot.  They are also known to, you got it, stretch.  It’s the stretching feature of a toy hammock that makes it desirable.  Additionally, it makes for a creative storage solution.  They are relatively inexpensive and easily hung in a corner or against a flat wall.

Using a toy hammock may even make your young one desire to keep they’re stuffed animals or toys ‘comfortable’.  They may consider the toy hammock as a ‘bed’ for their toys.  This could also help you meet your desired result:  a clean room!  What child would not want to see their toy comfortable?  Mr. and Mrs. Bunny Rabbit and family would love to be in their own toy hammock.  You‘ll be pleased with the décor of a clean and organized room.
