How To Cook Sirloin Steak Print E-mail
Friday, 06 July 2007
Sirloin steak is a tenderer type of steak that is very popular due to not being as tough as other types of steaks. There are different types of sirloin steak, but regardless of what type of sirloin steak you plan on preparing, there are some great cooking methods you can use. Sirloin steak can be spiced up any way you like. One great way to season your sirloin steak is to get a bag full of all the spices you would like to season the sirloin steak with and shake them with the sirloin steak inside the bag.

Unlike other types of meat, you want to let the spices sit from anywhere ranging from a few hours, up to a maximum of twenty-four hours. This lets the spices sit inside the sirloin steak and will add a stronger flavor to it. There are several ways you can cook the sirloin steak. If you are cooking the sirloin steak in a pan, then you want to let your pan heat up and become extremely hot before placing the sirloin steak onto it. Now people have different degrees of how they like their steaks cooked. Sirloin steak usually is served best if it is cooked up to medium. If you do not want to cook your steak on a pan, then the oven will work just as well.

Cooking a steak in a oven is comparable to cooking it on the grill in some ways. It is best to cook a sirloin steak in the oven with a grill pan, so that the juices of the steak can be saved. You usually want to set your oven to broil and cook it up to five minutes for each individual side of the sirloin steak. After you cook each side, then you want to place it in a cooler area of the oven until it reaches the the point of how you like your steaks cooked.

As we pointed out, cooking a steak on the grill and oven are relatively the same as far as cooking methods go. You cook the sirloin steak on the part of the grill that has a higher area of heat for up to five minutes on each side. Once you are done cooking each side, then you move the steak to a cooler area on the grills surface until it is cooked to your satisfaction.

Sirloin steak comes in different forms that are more tender then others, but all taste wonderful when cooked. Whether you want to pan fry, grill or cook your sirloin steak in a oven, sirloin steak proves to always be a great tasting meal.
