A birthday for most is a time to celebrate, a time to be joyful, and a time to collect gifts. Although a birthday party is primarily for the birthday man, woman, boy, or girl, most guests find themselves leaving with some birthday party favors. Birthday party favors vary according to the age of the person having the birthday. Children attending a child’s birthday party may leave with some toys of some sort as well as some other things that children will enjoy. This can be anything from candy to whistles to cars to dolls.
These depend primarily on the sex of the guests. The key with a child’s birthday party favor is variety. Children like to receive different things and may consider the party favor no good if they only receive one item. Children also have a habit of expecting something in return.Adult birthday party favors have endless possibilities. These party favors can vary so much depending upon not only the age of the adult but also the hobbies of the adult, the amount of money the adult is willing to spend, and the closeness of the guest list. Adult party favors can consist of glasses for drinking liquor or unique glasses with each guests’ name on it. Adults can get away with giving away one thing such as one shot glass or one picture frame. Whatever the adult gives away is considered to be a good gesture on the part of the host or hostess, because most guests don’t expect anything in return. |
