Online courses in criminal justice provide perfect opportunities for foreign students to join accredited colleges for expert training in criminal justice. Many schools offer online study facilities to foreign students. However the admission requirements foreign students in criminal justice courses are more stringent than those required for domestic students. The basic requirements remain more or less the same.

One has to secure a minimum of GPA score in high school or in the undergraduate courses; the exact figure varies from college to college. One has to secure a minimum of five hundred in TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Languages). If one has completed a two semesters of college level English and secured an equivalent of grade B then he might be excluded from taking a TOEFL. The applicant might also have to submit a GRE score report. The official score sheets of the tests must be submitted with the exact dates and scores.

The applicant will have to provide transcript to prove that he has successfully completed a certain level of academic studies, specified by the school, in his native country. The transcripts should be sent directly to the universities via sealed air mail. Transcripts must include; the level of study, list of subjects, studies and marks (grades) obtained, dates of attendance, rank in class when possible, and the grading system used. Transcripts must be in English and the detailed reports of examinations taken and the final average should be included.

The foreign students are required to fill the forms online. The full course fee, along with the admission fee has to be submitted at the time of admission. Payment must be made in US dollars.

Examinations will be held under the vigilance of an examination proctor who has to be approved by the university officials or by an American embassy information/education official. Questions and general communication with the university would be executed via fax, e-mail, or air mail. Assignments may be sent via fax, air mail, or as e-mail attachments but the examinations has to be sent and returned via air mail. The foreign student will be responsible for air mail costs associated with mailing course assignments. He will also have to bear, besides the internet and computer costs, the expense of the required text books.
