Health Care For Someone With Herpes Print E-mail
Monday, 06 August 2007
People who are living with herpes need to undergo a lot of doctor’s visits when they get checked out and having their medicine adjusted. It can get costly with the average cost of a doctor’s visit to be between $350-500 and that doesn’t include any lab work or additional medical treatments. What many people don’t really see is that it’s a difficult thing when you have to go to the doctor any time your outbreaks get out of hand and having to be put on more drugs. Its kind of like how many people who live with having HIV/AIDS and other diseases that has them going back and forth to the doctor like it’s a regular routine.

Most people who see a doctor go once a year for annual physical whereas someone who’s living with a disease is making visits to doctors at least weekly to a couple times a month. It’s not a pleasant thing for someone who is living with herpes to go through because it’s exhausting to have to go through the same thing over and over again. Most people want to have a normal life and not have to go through the hassle of seeing a doctor repeatedly. It’s the reality that many who live with herpes has to deal with for the rest of their lives, but it’s not a bad thing because they’re getting newer and more up to date information on treatments that are out there and getting that much closer to finding a cure.

Even though right now there’s no cure health professionals and medical science are working everyday trying to find a cure for many diseases from cancer to AIDS. It’s closer than most people think and it’s just a matter of time before that happens. With the way medical science is working to improve current medical treatments they might eventually find a cure for other diseases through these same medications and even creating new ones from the current medications on the market with just a few alterations to their chemical compositions in order for them to serve their purpose as well as help another problem or cause in the process.
