Your Camping Hammock Print E-mail
Saturday, 04 August 2007
You’re planning your next camping trip:  you go through your checklist.  You’ve got everything you’re going to need.  You’ve packed your tent and the rest of your camping gear.  You’ve checked the weather only to find that the forecast causes for a chance of rain.  Not to be deterred, you remember that camping hammock that you bought at the local sporting goods store.  You weren’t sure you’d ever use it, but figured it would come in handy one day.

You arrive at your campsite, set up your tent, and your camping hammock.  You’ve finished setting up and go out to do some fishing.  You stay out all day fishing, the sun physically wears you out.  You’re beat:  completely drained.  You leave the fishing hole with your catch and return to your campsite.  You’ve cleaned your fish and cooked it.  You put out the fire; you’re a responsible camper, after all.

It’s time to get some sleep.  You climb inside your tent, over to the left is your camping hammock, to the right is your sleeping bag.  Deciding that your camping hammock will give you your best rest for the night, you climb in and go to sleep.

Day breaks as you wake rested and ready to go again.  You follow your same routine from the previous day; you catch enough fish for your dinner and retire to your campsite.  While you were out, it rained.  All this rain caused a stir with the local mosquito population and you can feel it with each bite.  You go off to sleep in your tent and notice the holes in your tent.  You see the mosquito family making taking up residence inside your tent.  It hits you: your camping hammock comes equipped with mosquito netting; your saved.

Your weekend camping trip comes to an end and it’s time to return home and to work.  You enjoyed your fishing, and the rest you got due to your camping hammock.

When you return to work the following day, your associates want to discuss their weekend camping trips with you.  They regale you with horror stories of mosquitoes and the hard ground.  They tell you how glad they were to finally arrive home to their nice warm bed.  You smirk as you tell them about your weekend.  Your friend asks why you’re smirking and how you managed to get through the weekend so well rested.  You grin and tell them that you brought a camping hammock.  You tell them of the comfort and the mosquito protection you received from it.  Your friends are in awe.  You are ‘The Man’.
