Why Google Doesnt Like New Site For Resale Rights Products Print E-mail
Tuesday, 26 June 2007
I know what you are thinking – what did you do wrong? Every other search engine has no problem with putting your new marketing web page right on top, but for some reason you cannot find it anywhere on Google. Don't worry, you're just caught in the phenomenon known as Google's sandbox. It may take anywhere between six to eight months before the pages for your resale rights products show up in the top rankings.

So just be patient – actually, be very patient. Google also monitors how fast your site grows and how frequently your pages change. Keeping your marketing as stable as possible is the best way to get on Google's good side.

For now, the only way to get around that is to purchase advertising space from Google, while keeping in mind their search algorithm to ensure high visibility when you have been around long enough to actually get listed. Basically, don't act like a spammer. Keep your content fresh, but don't make big topic changes to your web sites or add massive amounts of pages all at once. That will just start the waiting period for getting listed all over again.

Of course, you should take this time to optimize your site too. One widely forgotten thing about Google's search algorithm is that it scores your web pages based on how many other sites link to your site, without a link back. A great way to up this score is to get your products with resale rights listed in free directories and forums. You could also link to your site from popular social networking sites as well, such as MySpace.

There are free applications that can help you come up with good keywords for your resale rights products. Use them to brainstorm new phrases in order to better target your niche markets. The more specific you can get the better. These programs are also great for looking up the most commonly searched keywords so that you are seen more frequently.

Another great idea is to look at the top ten web sites that show up when you search for your keywords. Deeply analyze them. Figure out why they rank so high and try to do better. Even if you do not understand HTML, view the source and use the “find” tool in your word processor to determine the frequency of your keywords. Last but not least, it doesn't hurt to invest in a good SEO tool.
