Professional Catering Equipment You Can Rent Print E-mail
Friday, 08 June 2007
If you are planning a special event and in need of extra equipment, there's no need to run out and purchase it. Chances are good that you can rent nearly anything you need from a catering business or party supply store.Most catering equipment rental is available daily, weekly, or even monthly. If you're planning a large event and need considerable prep time, it's a good idea to rent the equipment for an extra day. This will provide you plenty of time to become familiar with how it works, as well as time to clean the equipment before you return it.

Professional catering equipment available for rent includes:

* Chafers, warming trays, and food warmers
* Coffee urns and drink dispensers
* Dinnerware, drinkware and flatware
* Bars and carving stations
* Charcoal or gas grills
* Cake stands and dessert trays

In addition to renting catering equipment used to prepare and serve food; party supply companies also offer equipment, accessories and decorating supplies to help you create a theme or certain ambiance. These items include:

* Tables and chairs
* Tents
* Dance floors
* Candelabras
* Candles and Centerpieces
* Silk floral arrangements and trees
* Decorations
* and my personal favorite…the Chocolate Fountain

If you're on a mission to create the Ultimate child's birthday party or celebration event; you can rent inflatable recreation centers that include water slides, skee ball shoots, jumping tents, mini putting courses, and more. It's easy to create a fun festival event with these inflatable devices.

If you are hosting an event for 12 people or more, consider renting catering equipment. You might be surprised at how cost effective this can be. Let's say you will be serving dinner to 30 people. If you were to go out and purchase just the basic supplies, you'd spend at least $30.00. That's if you use the high-quality paper plates and plastic silverware.

Seriously though, do you have 30 matching sets of dinnerware? Do you have 30 sets of flatware or 30 matching glasses? If you're like most, the answer to those questions is a big "NO!" Do you really want to go out and purchase 30 matching sets of dinnerware for a one-time event?

Another thing to consider is the amount of time you will have to spend in the kitchen if you don't have the appropriate cookware, storage containers, or serving equipment. If you don't have large pots, you may have to make some of your side dishes in batches. Instead of cooking one big batch in an hour or two, you may have to cook four smaller batches. That could add up to an extra 6 hours of work.

Then you have to go out and buy those aluminum pans with the lids to store all the food. If you're hosting something more than a child's birthday party or a backyard BBQ, do you really want to serve your guests lukewarm food out of an aluminum container?

Do yourself a favor. Sit down at your computer and conduct research on party supply stores and caterers in your area. Visit the websites and see if they have a catering equipment rental price list posted on their website. If not, give them a call.

Make up a list of the items you will need to create the type of event you are planning. Record the prices and determine if it's affordable option for you. You might be pleasantly surprised to found out how affordable catering equipment rental can be!
