Innovative Ways To Profit With Resale Rights Product Print E-mail
Saturday, 23 June 2007
The only real downside to software titles with resale rights is you have to actually do something in order to make the sale. Between tracking down your prospects, selling to them, and actually producing the product, you could spend a great deal of hands-on time to make a relatively small amount of money. You have to really get outside the box in order to maximize your time. One way is to be at places where likely and unlikely customers would be, such as flea markets, special interest festivals, and seminars.

However this is still pretty time consuming, and takes you away from  methods that might help you sell your other products. In any case, the same ways that you can maximize yours sales for any of your products, will work also work for your software titles with resale rights. Put a benefit laden statement in your email signature, business cards, and anything else you hand out on a regular basis.

You can take that a step further and give out your business card in unusual circumstances. A single colleague of mine will give his business card as part of the tip to cute waitresses, with a special offer on the back to encourage her to call back – for obvious reasons.

Of course you don't have to be that shallow. Make an effort to really get to know every single person you meet so that they want your business card. Networking yourself in this way not only helps you to make an immediate profit from your software titles with resale rights, but a residual one as well because these people will become walking billboards for you.

The best way to save yourself some time is to get out of the in-person sales mode. While it may be a bit more difficult to make the sale, you are spending less time per completed sale overall, especially if you do it right.

You could join special interest forums and mailings lists, then participate just enough to catch their attention. Once you have gained a bit of their trust, go for the sale. Another fantastic not-so-obvious idea is to strategically place a sample of something from your software titles with resale rights in relating e-books and publications. Why market to the same people twice?

Once you can afford it, get a programmer to integrate your software titles with resale rights into a web site, so that all you have to do is market that one web site. Better yet, you could give people a master resale license for the products themselves, and multiply your income with very little effort.
